MYRTLE BEACH, SC – A Virginia State Police trooper, Darren H. Roberts, 30, has been placed on administrative leave without pay following his arrest in Myrtle Beach. According to South Carolina court records, Roberts faces serious charges, including first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, and first-degree domestic violence.



Roberts was apprehended by Myrtle Beach Police on September 3 after authorities responded to reports of a possible assault involving him and a woman he knows. The incident reportedly occurred earlier that day at a local resort. After being booked, Roberts was released on bail the following day.



Roberts is assigned to the Wytheville Division Area 24 Office in Pulaski County, Virginia. The investigation is ongoing as the case develops.
