**Las Vegas, NV** – An evangelical pastor was arrested by Las Vegas Metro police following a counter-terrorism response to a hotel incident involving firearms and drugs. David McGee, 61, was apprehended on August 20 at the Strat Hotel Casino & Tower, where he faces multiple charges related to gun and drug possession.

McGee, who previously served as the senior pastor of The Bridge Fellowship in North Carolina—a ministry that has shifted to online and radio platforms after closing its physical location in 2023—was in Las Vegas to visit his daughter. During his stay, he reported a missing item to the police, prompting their investigation.

Upon questioning, McGee disclosed that he had a firearm in his guitar case. This revelation came after hotel staff had previously warned him about the establishment's strict policy against bringing weapons on-site, following an earlier incident where he allegedly brought a shotgun to his room.

The case is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the investigation unfolds.
