Average gas prices in Virginia have risen by four cents this week, reaching $3.04 per gallon, according to AAA. In contrast, the national average has decreased by four cents, now sitting at $3.17 per gallon.



In local areas, gas prices show varied trends. Danville's average price increased by two cents to $2.89, while Pittsylvania County saw a one-cent rise to $2.96 per gallon. Martinsville's average climbed five cents to $2.90, and Henry County experienced a three-cent increase to $2.92. Notably, Halifax County saw the most significant jump, with prices soaring by 15 cents to $3.09 per gallon.
