On Sunday, October 13, 2024, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence located at 310 Clyde Prillaman St., Fieldale, VA.
During the operation, law enforcement officials seized a significant quantity of illegal substances, including suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, black tar heroin, fentanyl, as well as multiple firearms—four in total. Notably, one of the firearms was reported stolen from Patrick County, VA. In addition to the drugs and weapons, investigators found unknown pills, a pill press, digital scales, packaging materials, and ammunition. All seized items will be analyzed by the Virginia Department of Forensic Science.
Kayla Mae Bowman, a 32-year-old resident of the home, was arrested at the scene. She faces multiple serious charges, including:
- **Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance** (3rd or subsequent offense) under Virginia Code Section 18.2-248.
- **Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of a Schedule I or II Drug** under Virginia Code Section 18.2-308.4.
- **Possession of a Firearm by a Previously Convicted Felon** under Virginia Code Section 18.2-308.2.
- **Possession of Ammunition by a Previously Convicted Felon** under Virginia Code Section 18.2-308.2.
