The Martinsville Bulletin moved out of its headquarters at 204 Broad Street, and into new offices at the former Grand Piano Building in Uptown Martinsville, it was part of a larger real estate and media story playing out in newspaper offices from Los Angeles to here. Real estate and buildings are very expensive, and newspapers don’t need the same kind of square footage they once did.
Martinsville Bulletin General Manager Wendi Craig, a 20-year veteran of the paper said, “It’s bitter sweet – We have been in the old building for a long time, however we are excited about our new location at 19 East Church Street, Uptown Martinsville.”
The new office opened this week.
