DANVILLE — The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History will turn the grounds of the historic Sutherlin Mansion into an outdoor art festival Sept. 26-27 for the return of Art on the Lawn.
The free event at 975 Main St. will feature juried work from regional artists, including paintings, pottery, photography, sculpture, jewelry and mixed media. Organizers also list live music, food vendors, a beer and wine tent, a children’s art area and activities for families.
The museum says the festival will include a Living Story Workshop with Clint Atwater at noon Saturday in the museum auditorium. Visitors can attend without tickets, and the museum will be open to the public for free during the festival weekend. Artists are also eligible for cash awards, including $1,000 for first place.
