Danville City Council will meet Tuesday, Aug. 18, for a public business session followed by a work session, according to an agenda notice posted by the city.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Municipal Building at 427 Patton St. Both sessions are open to the public. The city explains that work sessions are used to review non-routine matters that may come back for votes at future business meetings.
Residents who cannot attend can watch the business session on River City TV through Comcast channel 10 or RiverStreet Networks channel 122. The city also says the session will stream on the River City TV Facebook page, while agenda materials are available through the city's Agendas & Minutes page.
Agenda materials are for council consideration and may be amended or not acted upon; an item does not become official until council acts at a regular business meeting and the signed action is completed.
