DCC opens aviation maintenance enrollment for August launch

Danville Community College has opened enrollment for a new Aviation Maintenance Technology program that is scheduled to begin classes in August 2026.

The college says the program will start at the Sentec Building on the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research campus while plans continue for a permanent aviation training facility at Danville Regional Airport. The first cohort is expected to include 10 students, with the program continuing as an ongoing workforce offering.

DCC lists an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology along with certificate options in Airframe Technology and Powerplant Technology. The program is aimed at high school graduates, veterans, aviation workers, pilots and adults seeking a direct path into aircraft maintenance careers.
