GREENSBORO — Young riders ages 2 to 6 can practice early mountain-biking skills during Greensboro’s GSO Mountain Bike Experience Preschool Program from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026.
The city’s event listing says the program will be held at the Bald Eagle Trail at Lake Higgins Marina, 4235 Hamburg Mill Road, Summerfield. Greensboro mountain-biking staff will help children build confidence riding without training wheels, handling rough surfaces and rolling over small obstacles.
The program costs $5 per person. The city says a few Strider bikes and helmets will be available to share, while families are encouraged to bring a child’s own bike or helmet when possible. Registration is required before attending.
Families with questions can call Brooke Wilson at 336-373-2481. The city calendar lists the Aug. 20 session as part of a recurring preschool program, but the Aug. 20 date is the next listed Greensboro session at the Lake Higgins site.
