Greensboro opens internal review after April 4 crash investigation

A City of Greensboro news release posted April 4, 2026 says Greensboro Police are investigating a crash that seriously injured a juvenile.

The release states officers attempted an investigative stop around 7:09 p.m. at the 2400 block of East Market Street, then located crash wreckage in the 1200 block of Huffine Mill Road.

According to the city update, EMS was called and the driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The release says the department's Professional Standards Division will conduct an internal policy review and involved officers were placed on administrative duty while that process proceeds.
