Guilford County is offering two free October workshops for small-business owners in Greensboro, with sessions focused on financing readiness and project estimating.
The first workshop, “Preparing for Lending: What Small Business Owners Need to Know,” is set for Oct. 15, 2026, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Nussbaum Center of Entrepreneurship, 1451 S. Elm-Eugene Street, Suite 3201. The county says the session will cover financial documents, business and personal credit, borrowing needs and Guilford Gains eligibility.
On Oct. 22, from 1 to 3 p.m., the same location will host “Estimating Fundamentals: Building Accurate and Competitive Estimates.” The free series is scheduled to continue Nov. 12, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, which is listed as graduation day. Topics include reviewing plans and specifications, labor and material costs, overhead and other project expenses; participants can also receive a one-on-one consultation three months after graduation.
Both county listings direct interested owners to register through the event pages. The workshops are part of Guilford County's small-business and entrepreneurship programming and are aimed at practical preparation rather than a general networking event.
