5:41 p.m. SAT - 8/8/26 - A rapidly strengthening storm with strong winds and hail is moving SE over the Hardy and Moneta side of Smith Mountain Lake with plenty of cloud-to-ground lightning as well!

Take cover off the water in a sturdy building away from windows in the path, which may include Union Hall, Gretna, and Altavista if the cell holds together.
