— An investigation that began in early 2026 has resulted in additional criminal charges against an Alleghany County woman after authorities examined a seized cell phone.
According to the Alleghany County Sheriff's Office, Raven Hamm was initially charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
As the investigation continued, investigators examined a cell phone seized during the case and obtained additional criminal warrants.
On October 15, deputies arrested Hamm on one count related to child pornography and 10 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship.
Hamm was transported to the Alleghany Regional Jail, where she is being held without bond.
The investigation began earlier this year, and the additional charges followed the examination of the seized electronic device.
The charges are allegations, and Hamm is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
