On Thursday, September 3, 2026, at approximately 6:20 p.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence located at 1849 Carver Road Martinsville, VA. The investigation began after the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and the Martinsville Police Department received information concerning suspected drug activity in the area. In response to those concerns, investigators with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office VICE Division and Narcotics Interdiction Unit began investigating the reported activity. As the investigation progressed, investigators developed evidence indicating that narcotics were being distributed from the residence.  The Henry County Sheriff’s Office worked jointly with the Martinsville Police Department during the investigation. Based on the evidence developed, investigators obtained a search warrant for the property. When the SWAT Team and investigators arrived to execute the search warrant, multiple individuals were located and detained while investigators searched the residence. As a result of the search, investigators seized a quantity of suspected cocaine and U.S. currency. Two individuals were arrested in connection with the investigation. Keith Allen Brim, 41 years of age, previously wanted out of the City of Martinsville for the following offenses: • Violation of Virginia Code Section: 19.2-306 – Probation Violation (2 counts) • Violation of Virginia Code Section: 18.2-456 – Contempt of Court Eugene Hairston Jr, 63 years of age, previously wanted out of the City of Martinsville for the following offenses: • Violation of Virginia Code Section: 19.2-306 – Probation Violation (3 counts) Sheriff Wayne Davis emphasized that the Sheriff’s Office will continue aggressively addressing illegal drug distribution and its impact on local communities. “ Those who choose to distribute illegal drugs in our communities should understand that we will continue working with our law enforcement partners to identify them and hold them accountable. Protecting the safety and well-being of our citizens and our communities remains one of our highest priorities.” Sheriff Wayne Davis The investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional charges may be forthcoming as investigators complete the examination of the evidence seized. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Martinsville Police Department for its assistance and continued partnership. The Sheriff’s Office also appreciates the members of the community who continue to report suspected criminal activity.
