— Some trees do more than brighten a neighborhood. Some tell a story about the people who make a community special.
Another beautifully decorated tree has appeared in Draper, this time honoring the Draper Volunteer Fire Department and remembering Steve Hale, a beloved community member who spent his life giving back to the place he called home.
The tree stands at the corner of Fieldcrest Road and Stadium Road, serving as a festive tribute to the volunteers who answer the call when their neighbors need them — and to a man whose legacy of service continues to be remembered.
Volunteer firefighters give their time and energy to protect their community, often leaving family dinners, work and everyday life behind to respond when someone needs help. This tree offers a chance to recognize those efforts.
It also honors Hale, whose life of giving back left a lasting impression on the Draper community.
Organizers also deserve thanks for helping keep the area beautiful and creating a display that brings a little extra spirit to the neighborhood.
