Food Lion's website and mobile app are currently unavailable after the grocery chain's parent company, Ahold Delhaize, reported a cybersecurity incident affecting its network.
Ahold Delhaize said Monday that it is experiencing a security issue within its network and has taken some systems offline while teams work to assess and contain the issue. The company said its stores remain open and continue serving customers, and that protecting its infrastructure and customers, associates and partners is a top priority. The company did not provide additional details about the nature of the security issue or say when its systems will be fully restored.
Food Lion said customers can still place delivery orders through Instacart, DoorDash and Uber Eats while its website and app remain unavailable, and that any unfulfilled orders placed through FoodLion.com or the Food Lion app will be refunded. Customers with prescriptions are being asked to contact their local Food Lion pharmacy, and stores remain open during normal business hours.
