Mount Airy is preparing for a full weekend of fall tourism as the Autumn Leaves Festival returns to downtown Oct. 9-11, according to the official Visit Mayberry event listing.
The festival is built around local craftsmanship, with jewelry, pottery and woodwork among the featured products. The listing also points visitors to barbecue and other Southern food offerings, live performances and a market of more than 200 vendors.
The event page lists 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for its Oct. 10 listing, while a related-event entry shows the festival beginning at 9 a.m. Oct. 9. Because the daily lineup and performance schedule can vary, visitors should check the official festival site before traveling and plan for a busy downtown setting.
Visit Mayberry lists the festival in downtown Mount Airy and provides the official Autumn Leaves Festival website for additional details, vendor information and schedule updates.
