Weather closures reported on Route 773 in Roanoke County and Route 634 in Franklin County

Traffic alert: Virginia Department of Transportation 511 listed two weather-related closures in the GetStarNews region as active at 5:19 p.m. EDT Monday, Oct. 12, 2026.

In Roanoke County, the closure is on Route 773 eastbound near Flint Road/Route 960. VDOT said motorists can expect delays and lane closures due to weather.

In Franklin County, the closure is on Route 634 northbound near Truman Hill Road/Route 679. VDOT also reported weather-related lane closures and possible delays.

Drivers should avoid the affected segments, obey barricades and use an alternate route until VDOT removes the closures from its active feed. Do not drive through standing or moving water.
