ROANOKE — Courtland Road NE is closed between Wayne Street NE and Sycamore Street NE as the city carries out construction work, according to a City of Roanoke notice.
The closure began at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, and is scheduled to continue through 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15. The city calendar lists the closure as affecting the traveling public in the work area.
Roanoke officials say drivers may encounter additional delays and encourage motorists to allow extra travel time and use alternate routes when possible. The notice does not name a specific detour, so people approaching the closure should follow posted signs and directions from crews.
The city also asks drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to use caution around the work zone and remain alert for crews and equipment while the closure is in place.
