In the wake of Hurricane Debby's devastating impact, God’s Pit Crew is mobilizing relief efforts to Sarasota, Florida, where communities continue to grapple with severe flooding. The Category 1 hurricane initially hit the Gulf Coast, leaving many areas submerged under water days after its landfall.

A tractor-trailer loaded with “Blessing Buckets” is set to depart from God’s Pit Crew’s warehouse in Danville, Virginia. Each five-gallon bucket is packed with essential items, including non-perishable food, water, hygiene products, first-aid kits, flashlights, Bibles, and handwritten notes of encouragement. Local officials at South Shore Community Church will distribute these supplies to those in need.

Chris Chiles, the Immediate Disaster Response Coordinator at God’s Pit Crew, voiced his concern for the affected residents, stating, “The people of this community have lost a lot to the floodwaters left by Debby. Cars are destroyed. Homes are water-logged and filled with filth the water brought with it.”

Randy Johnson, President of God’s Pit Crew, underscored the significance of these relief efforts, hoping the supplies will inspire hope as the community begins its recovery journey. “This storm continues to affect people all along the East Coast,” Johnson remarked, commending the volunteers and partners who provide critical assistance during these challenging times.

To replenish their inventory of Blessing Buckets, which cost $35 each to prepare, God’s Pit Crew invites those interested in supporting their disaster response efforts to visit [GodsPitCrew.org](https://www.GodsPitCrew.org) or call (434) 836-4472.

In 2024 alone, God’s Pit Crew has responded to 13 major disasters across the United States, delivering 28 tractor-trailer loads of relief supplies, including over 9,000 Blessing Buckets. Your support can make a profound difference in the lives of those affected by natural disasters.
