On Wednesday, the HCSO Narcotics Interdiction Unit executed a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by **Charles Rydell Flood Jr.**, 33, with **Elizabeth Taylor Mitchell**, 20, as a passenger. During the stop, both Flood and Mitchell exited the vehicle, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

The sheriff’s department reported that Flood attempted to escape on foot but was quickly apprehended by deputies a short distance from the scene. Meanwhile, Mitchell was captured at a nearby Dollar General store.
A K9 unit was deployed, alerting officers to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle, leading to a thorough search. During this search, deputies seized several items, including a firearm, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
