A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged with second-degree arson in Rockingham County. The incident occurred on August 23 around 8 PM at 191 Trantham Rd. in Reidsville, following reports of a disturbance at the location.
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Rockingham County Fire Marshal’s Office and Safe Labs Forensic Laboratory Services, conducted an investigation that revealed the fire was intentionally set.
Jonas Allen Stricktland, the resident of the property, is currently being held without bond at the Rockingham County Detention Facility.
