The Danville Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday morning at Charlie's Stop and Shop, located in the 100 block of Franklin Turnpike.

At around 9 AM, two male suspects armed with handguns entered the store and demanded cash. They fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, escaping in a black BMW.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
