**Tragic Crash Claims Life of Teen in Rockingham County**

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. – A tragic accident on October 1 resulted in the death of a teenager and injuries to three others in Rockingham County.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Comer Road near Derris Road.

Seventeen-year-old Micah Lee Styles from Madison was driving a 2005 Dodge Durango when he lost control of the vehicle. According to authorities, Styles veered off the road, overcorrected, and collided with a tree.

Styles sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Atrium Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Two passengers in the vehicle, a 16-year-old from Stoneville and a 17-year-old from Madison, suffered serious injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. An 18-year-old passenger from Stoneville sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safe driving practices. The investigation is ongoing.
