Average gasoline prices in Virginia have increased by 5.2 cents per gallon over the past week, now standing at $2.93 per gallon, according to a recent survey by GasBuddy, which analyzed 4,081 stations statewide.
In comparison to last month, prices have gone up by 4.3 cents per gallon. However, they are slightly lower than last year, with a decrease of 0.6 cents per gallon. Additionally, the national average price for diesel has also risen, climbing 1.5 cents in the last week to reach $3.488 per gallon.
The GasBuddy report reveals significant variations in fuel costs across Virginia. The lowest price for gasoline was observed at $2.49 per gallon, while the highest price soared to $3.99 per gallon, reflecting a considerable $1.50 disparity.
