MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Authorities have arrested two men following a significant drug bust in Martinsville on Tuesday, as reported by the Martinsville Police Department.
The operation involved the Martinsville SWAT Team executing search warrants at an apartment on Rives Road, while the Henry County SWAT team conducted a search on Spruce Street. Police revealed that the two suspects were collaborating to illegally distribute cocaine.
During the raids, law enforcement officials confiscated 1.3 kilograms of cocaine, three firearms, and over $6,000 in cash.
Samuel Hairston, 37, has been charged with multiple offenses, including possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (second offense), possession of a firearm while in possession of illegal narcotics, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Authorities continue to investigate the case as they work to combat drug-related crimes in the community.
