Lynchburg Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery Attempt

**Lynchburg, VA** – The Lynchburg Police Department is actively searching for a suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery that took place on Friday evening.

Around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of the incident at a store located on the 2500 block of Memorial Avenue. According to authorities, the suspect approached the store clerk, but the clerk managed to defend himself, prompting the suspect to flee the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and nothing was stolen during the incident.

The suspect is described as wearing all black attire, including a mask, gloves, and grocery bags over their shoes.
