Paramount Global and CBS have agreed to pay President Donald Trump over $30 million to settle his election interference lawsuit against the network. Trump will receive an upfront payment of $16 million to cover legal fees, case costs, and contributions to his future presidential library or charitable causes. An additional sum, potentially in the mid-eight figures, is expected to be set aside for advertisements or public service announcements supporting conservative causes. This settlement surpasses the $15 million ABC paid Trump last year to settle a defamation lawsuit, although the additional allocation is disputed by Paramount's current management.
