Raleigh, NC – Heavy rainfall over the weekend has led to significant flooding in various areas, including South Saunders Street and Cutler Street, where multiple roads were submerged.

On Saturday, torrential downpours impacted central North Carolina, resulting in downed trees, particularly in Franklinton. One unfortunate incident involved a tree crashing into a home, displacing a family of three.

Charles Etheridge, the homeowner, recounted the harrowing moment when he and his family were sitting in their kitchen, unaware of the impending disaster as the tree fell into the opposite side of their house. On Sunday, the family returned to collect their belongings amidst the chaos caused by the storm.

As the rain continues to fall, residents are advised to stay vigilant and monitor local conditions.
