Martinsville City Council Approves New Community Center

In a unanimous vote, the Martinsville City Council approved the construction of a new community center at their meeting last evening. The center will provide a space for local residents to gather and participate in a variety of activities and programs.Mayor Sharon Brooks Hodge expressed her excitement about the project, stating, 'This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and enjoy a multitude of activities. We are thrilled to be moving forward with this project.'The new community center will be located in uptown Martinsville and construction is set to begin in the summer of 2023.
