The Martinsville High School Marching Band won the Virginia State Band Championship over the weekend. The band, led by director Michael Secord, performed a program titled 'From Darkness to Light' and received top scores from all judges.
'This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students,' Secord said. 'I'm incredibly proud of what they've accomplished.'
The Martinsville High School Marching Band will now advance to the national competition, which will be held in Indianapolis in November.
