PATRICK COUNTY, Va. – A 19-year-old man from Stuart, William Aiden Royall, was identified as the victim of a fatal crash on Route 58 on August 5. The incident occurred approximately two-tenths of a mile east of Route 831.
According to Virginia State Police, Royall was driving a Chevrolet Malibu eastbound when he veered off the right side of the road, colliding with a guardrail and embankment. Authorities reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This tragic event serves as a reminder of the importance of seatbelt use while driving.
