Schoolfield
The former Dan River Inc. mill village at Schoolfield was listed as a National Register historic district in December 2020.
The Schoolfield Historic District covers the planned mill village built by the Dan River company, including its parks, school complex and welfare building. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 3, 2020, about 14 years after the mills closed.
