The 10-story Masonic Temple on South Union Street, dormant for nearly two decades, is slated for conversion into a hotel.
Officials said on July 29, 2026, that the 10-story building of concrete, steel and terracotta would become a full-service boutique hotel. A Masonic lodge was established on the site in 1851, the building was replaced in 1901, and it was restructured in 1921 after a fire destroyed the interior.
