Danville economic-development director transition set for May 4

Danville's local-government news feed reports that Economic Development and Tourism Director Corrie Bobe will leave the city to join the Danville Regional Foundation as director of economic development and regional collaboration.

The city says Bobe's transition date is May 4, 2026, and City Manager Ken Larking indicated Danville will begin a national search for the next department leader.

The announcement highlights ongoing projects tied to industrial recruitment, downtown and River District revitalization, housing work, and broader regional tourism promotion.

For Danville and the surrounding Southside corridor, the move matters because it keeps a major economic-development leadership role in-region while shifting where coordination decisions are made.
