TECHnista plans to invest $15.1 million in Danville and create at least 22 new jobs, according to a Sept. 18 announcement from the Virginia governor's office.
The education consulting company plans to lease Danville's 30,000-square-foot Cyber Park Shell Building, which is owned by the Danville-Pittsylvania Regional Industrial Facility Authority. The state says the expansion will support TECHnista's work connecting K-12 curriculum and workforce development with defense and advanced manufacturing industries.
The announcement also links the expansion to TECHnista's Manufacturing and Engineering Education Reimagined for All, or MEERA, pilot program. The governor's office says the program is operating in seven states and one U.S. territory, with anticipated enrollment of more than 18,000 students for the 2026-27 school year.
Virginia approved a $75,000 Commonwealth's Opportunity Fund grant to assist the City of Danville and the regional industrial facility authority. The release does not provide a hiring schedule or wage information, so prospective employees should watch for separate company or local economic-development updates.
