Danville supply-chain workshop set Oct. 27 for local organizations

Danville organizations looking to strengthen purchasing, production and supplier planning can register for a one-day Supply Chain Optimization Workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026. The City of Danville Office of Economic Development & Tourism and GENEDGE are presenting the training for people who want practical ways to improve operations and competitiveness.

The workshop runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Institute for Advanced Learning & Research, 150 Slayton Avenue, Danville. Registration costs $375 per person, and breakfast and lunch are included. Class size is limited to 20 participants.

Sessions will use hands-on simulation and manufacturing-focused discussion to cover demand planning, purchasing, production and supplier management. The official description also lists supply-chain strategy, the bullwhip effect, total-cost-of-ownership decisions and basic risk management as core topics.

Organizers say participants should leave with practical ways to identify volatility, hidden costs and supply risks inside their own operations.
