Danville Public Library is scheduled to host a genealogy program Thursday, Oct. 8, for adults preparing to use historical repositories and other family-history resources.
The session, titled “6 Amazing Repositories: How to Prep for a Research Trip and Six Repositories You Need To Be Aware of,” is set for 2 to 3 p.m. in the Ruby B. Archie Public Library auditorium. Michele Michaels Doyle is listed as the guest speaker.
The city calendar says the program is for ages 18 and up and requires registration. Residents can register through the library listing or call 434-799-5195 for information. The workshop is part of the library's genealogy programming, which connects local-history research with practical preparation before a repository visit.
