Danville Project Imagine starts community coin program for youth achievement

Danville is adding a new recognition-and-business connection piece to Project Imagine, the city's youth-focused outreach and violence-prevention program.

The City of Danville announced on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, that Project Imagine is launching a community coin program for participants who have completed at least 90 days in the program and reached Level 2. The city says the milestone reflects progress toward goals such as school performance, family relationships and positive decision-making.

The commemorative coin is designed to work as both a symbol of achievement and a way to introduce young participants to participating local businesses. The city says a participant's first visit is made with a Project Imagine outreach worker, who helps introduce the participant to owners or staff and make the business feel more familiar.
