Danville to hear proposed monthly rent for new airport hangar

Danville City Council will take public comment Tuesday on a proposed fee ordinance for a new hangar at Danville Regional Airport.

The hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, in City Council Chambers on the fourth floor of the Municipal Building, 427 Patton St. The public notice says the ordinance would establish monthly rental fees for a new 6,400-square-foot hangar.

The notice does not state the proposed monthly rate, lease term or expected airport revenue. Those details may appear in the ordinance or council agenda, so the hearing should not be read as evidence that a fee has already been adopted.

Residents seeking accommodations for the hearing may use the Transportation Services contact information provided in the city's official notice.
