A River Oak Drive development request returns to Danville City Council on Tuesday through an application to remove conditions from a rezoning approved in 2024.
The public hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, in City Council Chambers on the fourth floor of the Municipal Building, 427 Patton St. The notice identifies the applicant as Blackstone Building Group LLC and the request as application PZ26-00363, seeking removal of conditions in Ordinance 2024-03.04.
The one-page notice does not describe the existing conditions or how removing them would change the project. Copies of the request are available from Danville's Community Development Department, according to the notice. Council will also hear a separate appeal involving an address sign previously installed at 553 Lynn St.
The hearing is an opportunity for public comment and does not itself signal approval. Readers should consult the application, ordinance and meeting materials for the full development record.
