GREENSBORO — Greensboro’s 17th annual Downtown Greenway Run and Block Party is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, bringing a 1-mile walk, a 5K and an afternoon community gathering to the Downtown Greenway.
The city calendar lists the event from 3 to 8 p.m. and describes it as a family-friendly afternoon built around the run and walk. After the course, the block party is scheduled to include food trucks, live music, games, children’s activities, vendors, face painting and giveaways.
Participants can choose the 1-mile or 5K event, and the city listing says registered participants will receive a custom bib and shirt, a drink voucher, post-run snacks and entry into prize drawings. Youth discounts are listed for ages 4 through 17; children age 3 and younger are listed as free.
