Temple of the Muse closes Greensboro residency with two premiere performances

A month-long Creative Greensboro residency reaches its finale this weekend with two premiere performances at the Greensboro Cultural Center.

Temple of the Muse is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Stephen D. Hyers Theatre, 200 N. Davie St. The city describes the production as an immersive blend of aerial and circus arts, dance, theater, sound healing, contemporary movement and global musical influences.

The performances complete a July residency led by multidisciplinary artist Nova Lockhart and Dreams in Motion Dance & Circus Arts. Earlier sessions included a circus-arts class, artist-development work, movement workshops and sound healing.
