— It was a big day on the water for the Martins, who walked away with two first-place finishes at this year's Pounds for Hounds fishing event at Philpott Lake.

The Martins took home first place in both the Big Fish category and Most Pounds, making it a winning day for the fishing team and a big success for a cause that helps animals in need.

The annual Pounds for Hounds event brings anglers together for some friendly competition while raising money and awareness to benefit the Henry County Animal Shelter.

While the fish were biting and the competition was underway, the real winner was the shelter and the animals who depend on the community's support.

Congratulations to the Martins on their double first-place finish — and hats off to everyone who helped make this year's Pounds for Hounds a success!
