One Henry County principal is getting ready to trade the school hallways for a little Disney magic — and she's bringing some new ideas back home!
Dr. Elizabeth Motley, principal of Campbell Court Elementary School, has been selected to attend the “A Heart for Service in Education” Disney Institute Workshop, joining educational leaders from across the country for a special professional development experience.
The selection was made unanimously by local Horace Mann representatives, including insurance agent Veronica Favero, who also helped sponsor the opportunity.
The workshop will focus on strengthening relationships, building positive school cultures, and creating exceptional experiences for students, staff and families.
“Dr. Motley is an enthusiastic and optimistic leader who continually strives to better herself, her school, and the district,” Favero said.
Motley said she is honored and grateful for the opportunity.
“I am so incredibly honored and grateful for this opportunity to join administrators from around the country to see the magic behind Disney and how we can make that magic happen for our students here in Henry County,” she said.
Henry County Public Schools thanked Horace Mann for sponsoring the experience and recognizing Motley's dedication to education.
No word yet on whether Mickey Mouse will be making a guest appearance at Campbell Court — but the district is hoping Dr. Motley returns with a little extra Disney inspiration!
