Residents of White House Road in Ridgeway are raising concerns about a planned railroad repair project that could leave them unable to access their homes for two days beginning November 11, 2026, and that includes school buses.

According to residents, railroad repairs will block access along White House Road, leaving homeowners scrambling to figure out where they are supposed to go — or, more importantly, where they are supposed to park.

Residents say a railroad representative suggested they park along Route 220 during the two-day closure.

There's just one problem with that suggestion: parking along Route 220 is illegal, and anyone who decides to follow that advice could find their vehicle towed.

So let's get this straight: residents are being told they could be blocked from their own homes for two days, and the suggested parking solution could leave them dealing with a tow truck.

Apparently, the railroad has a repair plan, but residents say the parking plan could use a little more work.

Residents deserve a clear and LEGAL alternative before the work begins — not a suggestion that could leave them with a ticket or a towing bill.

The railroad repairs are scheduled to begin November 11 and are expected to last two days.
