The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office continues to work alongside local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to target criminals who threaten our communities. Through task force assignments and strong partnerships with agencies including the ATF, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service, NCSBI, ALE, Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Asheboro police departments, Forsyth, Alamance, Randolph County Sheriff’s Offices, U.S Attorneys Office, and District Attorneys Office here and in other counties, we are strengthening our ability to investigate and dismantle criminal operations. CRIME DOESNT STOP AT OUR COUNTY OR STATE LINES—AND NEITHER WILL OUR EFFORTS TO STOP IT

On June 1, 2026, the ATF Charlotte Field Division launched Operation Piedmont Pipeline, an intelligence-driven, multi-agency enforcement initiative targeting firearms and narcotics offenses throughout the Piedmont Triad. This operation lasted until September 30, 2026, and the results speak for themselves:

104 defendants charged — 72 federal and 32 state Approximately 75 criminal investigations 229 ATF enforcement operations 46 federal and state search warrants executed 163 firearms and 6 National Firearms Act firearms seized 102 machine-gun conversion devices seized More than 37 kilograms of illegal narcotics seized, including cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl $137,318 in U.S. currency seized

Sheriff Billy Parker emphasized the agency’s commitment to these partnerships, stating, “The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is 100% committed to these partnerships.” He added, “This is just the beginning. Stay tuned.”

Sheriff Parker and the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office are committed to keeping our streets safer, protecting our neighborhoods, and holding those who bring illegal drugs and firearms into our communities accountable. We will use every available resource, strengthen every effective partnership, and pursue those who threaten the safety of our citizens. Our mission is clear: KEEP ROCKINGHAM COUNTY SAFE FOR THOSE THAT CALL IT HOME
