The second annual Henry County Veterans Honor Trail will open Saturday, Nov. 7, at Jack Dalton Park in Collinsville, featuring more than 200 signs honoring local veterans. Organized by All Vets, a nonprofit, the trail honors the service and sacrifice of veterans from the Henry County and Martinsville communities and will remain open for one week, through Nov. 14.

An opening ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and include remarks by Henry County native Capt. Jerry Whitlock of the U.S. Navy, a ceremonial cake cutting, an honor flag presentation and a community walk along the trail. The display will include signs from last year's inaugural event along with new additions for 2026, and each sign recognizes a veteran's military service.

The signs are provided at no cost to veterans and their families through fundraising efforts by All Vets in partnership with Henry County. All Vets founder S. Patrick Rodgers, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Henry County native, has said the trail is a meaningful way to recognize local heroes and bring the community together, and the organization's mission is to honor the fallen and strengthen the living. Jack Dalton Park is located at 130 Jack Dalton Road in Collinsville, and more information is available at all-vets.com or the All Vets Virginia Facebook page.
