Two men were arrested in a drug bust during a traffic stop in Grayson County, according to the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.

Cpl. Greer and Deputy Brannock stopped a vehicle on Route 21 near the Town of Independence on Wednesday, Sept. 9. After noticing suspicious activity, Cpl. Greer called Virginia State Police for a K-9, and when the dog gave a positive alert on the vehicle, deputies conducted a probable cause search. Deputies say the search revealed a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and a firearm.

Michael Edwards was charged, and Robert Ayers faces two counts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I or II drugs. Both are being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond, and the charges are allegations unless proven in court.
