Unused medications in your home? Help prevent prescription drug misuse by disposing of them safely!

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Drug Free Martinsville-Henry County Coalition and the Drug Enforcement Administration for the 31st National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Saturday, October 24 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Henry County Sheriff’s Office 3250 Kings Mountain Road Martinsville, VA 24112

Bring your old, unwanted, or expired prescription medications for FREE and anonymous disposal.

Accepted items include tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Liquid medications, such as cough syrup, must remain in their original containers with caps tightly sealed to prevent leaks.

Syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs will not be accepted.

For sixteen years, National Prescription Drug Take Back Day has helped communities safely dispose of unneeded medications. Through partnerships with local law enforcement, the initiative has removed more than 20.4 million pounds of medication from circulation.

Clean out your medicine cabinet and help keep our community safe!
